Submit a wedding announcement
The Seward County Independent will run a one-time wedding announcement and photo, free of charge, up to six months after the ceremony. After six months, the announcement is no longer considered news, but it may be run as an advertisement. Where applicable, please indicate the participants' relationship to the bride or groom. People listed without family affiliation are assumed to be friends of the couple and will not be listed with attribution (i.e. friend of the bride/groom). An ad may be purchased to include additional information. Please note: Information will run in the newspaper in the same order it is listed on the form. Information not requested will not be included (i.e. church flowers, musical numbers, reception decorations, number of guests, brand of gown/tuxedo, etc.) Forms must be submitted by noon Fridays. Announcements will run in the next edition with exceptions made for space. Items that are held will be published in the following week's edition. If you are submitting a photo from a professional photographer, the SCI must have written permission from the photographer to use the picture. It may be e-mailed to jillmartin@sewardindependent.com.
