Shirley Miller
Shirley Mae Miller, 78, died July 13, 2010, at her home in Milford.

Mrs. Miller was born Aug. 29, 1931, on a farm near Milford to Chris and Mary Roth.

She attended Milford Public Schools.

On June 24, 1951, she married Richard Miller.

They lived on a farm southwest of Milford.

Mrs. Miller was supervisor of the housekeeping department at Sunrise Country Manor in Milford.

She was a member of East Fairview Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday School for several years and sang with various church groups.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her brother Earl Roth; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Kermit Miller, Merle and Irene Miller and Earl Stutzman.

Survivors include her husband Richard, Milford; children and spouses John and Victoria Miller and Mary and Troy Mize, all of Salem, Ore., Don and Ginny Miller, Milford, Sherryl and Randy McDaniel, Albany, Ore., Arla and Marty Roth, Dorchester, Verlin and Ann Miller, Milford, Rachel and Jim Garza, LaVista, and Daryl and Janal Miller, Lebanon, Ore.; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law Berniece and Clayton Beckler, Milford, Grace and Dale Grieser, West Point, Eunice and Marvin Oswald, Allen, and Vada and Kenneth Roth, Dorchester; sisters-in-law AnnaMae Roth, Milford, Barbara Stutzman, Albany, Ore., and Norvene Miller, Corvallis, Ore.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Clifford and Peggy Miller, Sacramento, Calif.; nieces and nephews.

Service was July 16, 2010, at East Fairview Mennonite Church, rural Milford, with the Rev. Bill Saltzman officiating.

Burial was at the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were her grandsons Jed Dowell, Jeremy, Justin, Jathan and Jared Miller, Travis Roth, Jesse, Waylon, Shawn and Eli McDaniel, Nathaniel Miller, Josiah Miller and Coby Miller.

Memorials may be made to East Fairview Mennonite Church for missions.
