| Lenora Gocke Lenora Anna Mathilda Gocke, 98, North Platte, formerly of Waco, died July 8, 2010, at North Platte.
Mrs. Gocke was born June 1, 1912, to Frederick Ernest and Helene Uffelman Schlechte at McCool Junction.
She graduated from McCool Junction High School.
On Feb. 22, 1935, she married Alfred Martin Theodore Gocke at St. John's Lutheran Church south of Waco.
They farmed south of Waco for 35 years before moving to Utica where she worked for Bethesda Nursing Home as a dietitian.
Mrs. Gocke was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the St. John's Ladies Aid and the Utica Senior Center.
She enjoyed quilting.
Mrs. Gocke was preceded in death by her husband Alfred; brothers Edgar, Waldo, Arlo and Gerald Schlechte; sister Olga Peterson; and great-grandson Zachary Gocke.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law Linda and James Staehr, Gilbert, S.C., and Twila Conell, North Platte; sons and daughter-in-law Myron and Bernadine Gocke, Waco, and Keith Gocke, Glen Rock, Wyo.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters Almira Dochow, Portland, Ore., and Loa Braker, Orange, Calif.; brother Lorence Schlechte, Blanchard, Idaho; sisters-in-law Florence Paulus, Santa Rosa, Calif., Dorothy Gocke, Utica, and Deloris Gocke, York; nieces and nephews.
Service was July 12, 2010, at St. John's Lutheran Church, south of Waco.
Memorials may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church Steeple Fund, the Lutheran Hour Ministries or the donor's choice.
