Robert A. "Bob" Pohlman, 79, Firestone, Colo., died July 20, 2010, at Longmont United Hospital.
Mr. Pohlman was born Jan. 7, 1931, at Seward to Reinhold and Lena (Koch) Pohlman.
He grew up on a farm near Garland.
Mr. Pohlman served in the U.S. Marines.
He married Kary Schmieding on Dec. 26, 1954. He later married Bette Schulz on July 10, 2004.
Mr. Pohlman moved to Longmont, Colo., in 1978. He was an owner/operator in the agricultural area until his retirement in 1995.
He was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.
He enjoyed carpentry, building and remodeling his homes, making stained glass, collecting antique toy tractors and flying remote controlled planes.
Mr. Pohlman was preceded in death by his brothers Lyle and Darell Pohlman; sister-in-law Darlene Pohlman; and stepson Donald Schulz.
Survivors include his wife Bette, Firestone, Colo.; sons Rod and Kevin Pohlman, both of Greeley, Colo.; daughters and sons-in-law Denise and Time Shellington, York, and Julie Pohlman and Scott Haskins, Longmont, Colo.; two grandchildren; stepchildren and spouse Sharon and Douglas Rybock, Julie Schroder, Steve Schulz and Diane Richter; sister, Deanna Bahr, Lincoln; sister-in-law Carol Pohlman; stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Service was July 24, 2010, at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, Longmont, Colo., with the Rev. John Thieme officiating.
Burial was at Ryssby Cemetery.
