H. Keith Crook, 97, Rising City, died July 23, 2010, at David Place in David City.
Mr. Crook was born on March 7, 1913, to Elva and Mabel (Linton) Crook at Falls City.
He graduated from Falls City High School in 1932.
He married Gladys Pool on March 26, 1938, at Rising City.
They lived and farmed in the Rising City area.
Mr. Crook enjoyed playing cards, bowling, playing horseshoes and checkers.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rising City and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge 81 AF & AM of Rising City.
Mr. Crook was preceded in death by his wife Gladys; grandchild Bruce Crook; two infant siblings; brothers George, Finis, Earl and Cleo; and sisters Catherine, Alma and Lois.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law Walter K. and Mary Ann Crook, Rising City, and Alton K. and Lois Crook, Fremont; brother and sister-in-law Victor and Margaret Crook, Mountain View, Calif.; sister Aerial Riggs, Washington state; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Service was July 28, 2010, at the United Methodist Church in Rising City with the Rev. Faye Hubbard officiating.
Burial was at Circle Mound Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family.
