Milford corrals Mustangs in opener

The Milford defense kept Raymond Central out of the end zone, and the Eagle offense kept finding the end zone as Milford defeated Raymond Central 47-7 to open the 2010 football season. Although Milford didn't score on its first possession, it was able to finish on its second when Kyle Herman ran the final four yards of the drive for the touchdown. The Seward softball team suffered its first loss of the season Aug. 28, losing to Friend 6-5 in the championship game of the Seward Invitational. Bulldogs go 3-1 at Red Raider Classic

Concordia University finished play at the Red Raider Classic with two wins Aug. 28. The Bulldogs picked up a 3-1 win over MidAmerica Nazarene University to start the day. Scores of the match were 25-23, 26-24, 15-25 and 25-20. The Bulldogs added a 3-0 win over Valley City State later in the day. Scores of that match were 29-27, 25-15 and 25-21.
