Seward school athletic physicals are scheduled for July 29 at Seward High School (use main south doors for entrance) from 5-7 p.m.
All students entering grades 8-12 in the fall of 2010 will need an athletic physical to participate in extra-curricular activities. No participant can begin an activity without having a copy of a completed 'passed' physical at the office of the school they are attending.
To help students begin practice on time, the coaches and administrators of Seward High School with the help of the physicians and administrators at Seward Memorial Health care have set up an 'Evening of Physicals'. Any student entering grades 8-12 are encouraged to attend unless they have an alternate to completing the 'Physical' requirement.
Note: Any physical dated prior to the conclusion of the 09-10 school year will not be valid.
Each student-athlete will have to have a current physical dated after May 1, 2010 to be eligible for extra-curricular activities in the 2010-11 school year.
Four physicians, two male and two female, will be stationed in private examination rooms where a complete physical examination will be conducted. Upon completion of the exam, the student along with a parental signature, will leave their completed paperwork at Seward High School and the school will get the paper work to the correct location.
If a student is not attending Seward Schools, the student can take the form with them and give to the appropriate personnel at their school.
There is a cost for the physicals.
