COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month, meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Board of Equalization meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month starting at 8:30 a.m. There will be an additional meeting on February 25, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. MARCH CLAIMS ALLOWED MARCH 24, 2015 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on February 17, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Present: Chairman Roger E. Glawatz; Members: Mike Luebbe, Gene Gausman, Whitney Fleischman; County Clerk Sherry Schweitzer. Absent: Member Diana Garske. Approve the minutes of February 10, 2015. Russ Daehling, Hwy Supt.; Sherry Schweitzer, County Clerk and Joe Yocum, Sheriff updated the Commissioners on activities of their office. The Commissioners reported on their activities the past week. Held a public hearing at 9:35 a.m. for the Seward County Road Dept. 1 & 6 Year Road Program. Sheriff Yocum was present to discuss the Justice Center Committee. Allowed Farmers and Merchants Bank of Milford to substitute securities. Discussed an abandoned cemetery, particularly the 1st Methodist Cemetery. Derek Ptomey and Rick Morton of Goldberg Group Architects and Ben Fink of Beckenhauer Construction were present to discuss the final design of the proposed Justice Center.
