NOTICE TO BIDDERS Seward County Public Power District Pleasant Dale Sub East 69 KV Transmission Line Sealed proposals for the construction, including the supply of necessary labor and equipment for the rural electric project of Seward County Public Power District, (hereinafter called the “Owner”) to be known as the Pleasant Dale Sub East 69 KV (Operated 34.5 KV) Transmission Line will be received on or before 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 6, 2016, in its office at, Seward County Public Power District, 3111 Progressive Road, P.O. Box 69, Seward, NE 68434-0069, Attn. Mr. Joel Navis, Manager, Telephone (402) 643-2951, at which time and place all proposals will be publicly opened and read. Any proposal received subsequent to the time specified will be promptly returned to the Bidder unopened. The Project will consist of furnishing labor and equipment (material provided by Owner) for the construction of approximately 1.5 miles of 69 KV designed transmission line with approximately 1.2 miles of 12.47 KV, three-phase, distribution line underbuild and .5 mile of 7.2 KV, single-phase, distribution line underbuild. Additionally, this project will consist of removal of approximately 1.5 miles of 34.5 KV, three-phase, transmission line and .73 miles of 7.2 KV or 2.4 KV, single-phase, distribution line. Construction is to commence on October 3, 2016, and be complete by December 2, 2016. The project is located in Seward County in the State Of Nebraska, near the town of Pleasant Dale, NE. The Plans, Specifications for Construction, and Construction Drawings, together with all other necessary forms and documents for bidders may be viewed at the office of the Owner or obtained from the Engineer, RVW Inc., P.O. Box 495, Columbus, Nebraska 68602-0495, upon payment of forty dollars ($40), which payment is not subject to refund. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in form attached or a certified check of a bank that is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to the order of the Owner, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid price. The Owner will award the contract to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest and best proposal or, at its sole discretion, may reject any or all proposals. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond with sureties listed by the United States Treasury Department as Acceptable Sureties, in a penal sum not less than the total contract price.
