NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, at 10:00am in the County Commissioners room at the Seward County Courthouse, Seward, Nebraska, for the purpose of considering a project for which financial assistance is being sought from the Federal Transit Administration, pursuant to the Federal Transit Act (FTA), generally described as follows: To apply for a Federal Equipment Grant for the purchase of a 2024 or current production year ADA vehicle with the FTA Funds, Federal funds requested at 80% of the cost of the vehicle, State funds requested at 10% of the cost of the vehicle, with the remaining 10% coming from the County local match. The purchase of said vehicle is to add to the Seward County Public Transit vehicle fleet. At the hearing, Seward County will afford an opportunity for interested person or agencies to be heard to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental aspects of the project. Interested persons may submit orally or in writing, any evidence and recommendations with respect to said project. A copy of the application for the Federal Grant for the proposed project is available for public inspection at the Seward County Public Transit Office 320 S. 14th Street, Seward, NE 68434.
