Call meeting to order & announce Open Meetings Act is Posted 1.2. Public Notice as publicized per board policy The public notice was publicized in the Seward County Independent and posted at city hall, library and courthouse. The public notice was dated June 5, 2024. 1.3. Roll Call 1.3.1. Action to excuse board members if necessary Motion to excuse Matt Hastings from tonight's meeting Passed with a motion by Paul Duer and a second by Jill Hochstein. Possible Discussion Items 2.1. 2024-2025 Student Handbooks Dr. Fields and the board discussed changes in the student handbooks. 2.2. Safety Update Dr. Fields gave the board a safety update which included cameras, panic buttons, safe defender and SRO officer. 2.3. Budget/ Special Session/Governor Dr. Fields discussed the unknowns for the upcoming budget due to legislative issues. Ryne Seaman attended the governors town hall meeting and discussed the meeting with the board. 2.4. Externships Matt Dominy, Scott Axt and Rich Eber presented on the Teacher Career Externiships that teachers attended on June 5, 2024. The businesses they visited were Nebraska Equipment, WCR, Cattle Bank and Lavander's Auto Body. 3.
