Dolores Elaine Gocke, age 94 of York, died Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at York.
She was born Nov. 23, 1929, to Adolph and Martha (Behrens) Brackhan in Waco. On Feb.
15, 1947, she was united in marriage to Lindell R. Gocke at Waco. Dolores was a homemaker and daycare provider. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Waco, where she sang in the church choir. She enjoyed growing flowers, crocheting, and needle work.
She is survived by her sons, Stan (Delaine) Gocke of York, Dean (Jackie) Gocke of Seward, and Brian (Trudy) Gocke of York; daughter, Carol Gocke of York; six grandchildren, Steve (Sheryl) Gocke of Omaha, Shannon (Tina) Gocke of York, Dawn (Craig) Nienhueser of Benedict, Curtis (Tahlia) Gocke of Plattsmouth, Dalton Gocke of Seward, Kayla (John) Shook of Lincoln; 14 great-grandchildren, Mitchell Gocke, Schuyler (Cheyanne) Gocke, Preston Gocke, Gunnar Anderson, Cassidy Anderson, Bailey Gocke, Harrison Gocke, Amelia Gocke, Hadley Gocke, Austin Nienhueser, Addison Nienhueser, Nadia Shook, Calvin Shook, and Elijah Shook; brother, Allen (Sharon) Brackhan of York; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Patricia; and sister, Norma.
The funeral service was June 29 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Waco, with burial in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family. Arrangements by Metz Mortuary, York.
