Michael Dean “Mike” Schulz passed away Aug. 30, 2024, at the age of 67.

He was born Oct. 22, 1956, in Seward. Mike owned many businesses in his life, including Show Cars by Mike in Apple Valley, Minnesota, restoring Pontiac GTO's and Corvettes; First Class Car Care in Excelsior, Minnesota; and most recently, Pro Fish Enterprises in Watertown, Minnesota, rigging electronics on bass boats. Mike's hobbies included bass fishing, hunting, and building an RV-10 airplane.

His passion for all things mechanical and fishing filled his life. He was a self-taught expert on his many interests. He loved to share his knowledge with all that knew him. Eager to help them learn how to do what came easy to him. He never settled for good enough, no, it needed to be perfect.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Sonja; his children, Brandee Schulz, Keith Schulz and Destiny Hayden; grandchildren, Haylee (Josh) Williams and Madison (Patrick) Bukowski; great-grandchildren, Lylah, Abriellah and Liam Williams; his mother, Carol (Jerry) Czapla; his sisters, Denise (Gary) Stutzman-Prieto, Cindy (Bruce) Werner-Bollig and Lynda (Greg) Michelena.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Schulz; and  grandson, Tanner Medich.

A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. at 3790 County Road 123 (the “Rigging Shop”), Watertown, Minnesota.
