Milton Earl Miller, 83, passed away peacefully Sept. 1, 2024, at his home at Lee's Summit, Missouri, while on hospice.

Milt was born at home in Ulysses on Sept, 30, 1940, to George and Mildred (Jensen) Miller. He welcomed a baby sister, Jane, when he was 11 years old. He graduated from Ulysses High School in 1958, and always enjoyed attending class reunions. Milt moved to Independence, Missouri, to attend Central Technical Institute, Kansas City, where he received a degree in Electronics Engineering.

He worked to the ripe old age of 79.

He retired from the Army National Guard units in Seward and Missouri upon 30-plus years service at the age of 60. He was a proud veteran.

Milt enjoyed reading, dancing, collecting old records, coins and guns especially guns made by his dad, George, and uncle, Harvey Miller. In earlier days, he spent hours roller skating and working on cars.

Survivors include his daughter, Theresa Miller, of the home; two grandsons and their wives; three great-grandsons; his sister, Jane Greiving and husband, Gary, Lincoln; cousin, Delores Kassik, Ulysses; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; their two dogs; and his parents.

Milt was cremated. He will have a military service with entombment at Missouri Veterans Cemetery @Higginsville, Missouri, on Sept. 27 at 11 a.m.
