The Seward County garage sales are this weekend! It is a sign of the end of the school year and beginning of summer when all of the odds and ends are purged from closets.
As a mom it is completely satisfying to look in at a freshly organized closet and know that any article of clothing an exuberant seven year old selects to leave the house in actually fits (I literally let out the loudest sigh at just the thought of it).
Besides the glorious purge, there is also the joy of the haul. You know what I mean. The bargain that deserves a full on rant to the unsuspecting man in your life. That’s the one.
My little first grader will celebrate the last day of school today so Friday we are heading to Seward together to go on an adventure! She will get $10 to spend however she likes but in addition to that she is going to do the following scavenger hunt:
Something you already have at home
Something priced at $10
A sports ball
Something in its original packaging
A piece of outdoor furniture
Something that could be a Halloween costume
A garden or yard tool
A pink dress
A Christmas item
Fishing gear
Something that could be used for writing
When Charlotte finds one of the above items, we will take a selfie and post it to our social media with the address we are visiting.
I am hoping to find a hand held vacuum cleaner for the car and the stairs. I also am hoping to snag an old typewriter to make into a pinterest project to decorate my office. I never know if it is better to have a plan or wing it but the heart wants what the heart wants.
We are planning to stop by the following Seward addresses, which you can find on our google map linked here.
1345 Eastridge Ave.
1450 Bluestem Trail Ridge Run
706 N 7th St.
325 S. 2nd St.
1945 North Columbia
938 Cherry Ln
1036 N 7th St.
If you want Charlotte and I to come see you too, email me today and we will add you to the list!
Happy thrifting all! Share your treasures with me!
